Certifications for Compliance

Its not just about getting the badge or certificate…

We believe that gaining recognition for our hard work in setting up a quality management system is fantastic, but the real benefit is maintaining it and embracing it as part of our daily processes, is where the real value is.

Certification can be a useful tool to add credibility, it helps to demonstrate that our service meets the expectations of our customers.

This week we had our audits, and are very pleased to say we achieved the following internationally recognised standards:

  • ISO9001 - Quality Management System (QMS)

  • ISO14001 - Environmental Management System (EMS)

  • ISO45001 - Occupational Health and Safety Management System

We have worked with our auditor Paul Elcoat at Elcoat Ltd since 2009, so he has a broad knowledge of our company, of our industry, being a former tree surgeon himself.

He had the following to say following our audits:

"It is like a breath of fresh air when we assess a company that has everything in place and with Beechwood, we know we are going to have a good day discussing industry trends and developments.

Simon's expertise with tech also helps as he instantly adapted to using video for meetings and cloud based file sharing."

The ISO are an independent, non-governmental international organization who brings together experts to share knowledge and develop international standards that support innovation and provide solutions to global challenges.

By implementing an effective and robust Management Systems it enables us to focus on the important areas of our company and improve efficiency. The management processes that are established throughout the business provide a sound foundation, which leads to increased productivity and profit. This in turn improves our customer acquisition and retention.

Due to this, some of our customers will only do business with certified companies because it gives them assurance that our management systems are constantly assessed and approved - providing complete peace of mind for our clients that they will receive the same great service, every time!

This helps us create a: BETTER BUSINESS, BETTER REGULATION, BETTER PRODUCTS AND SERVICES

FACT: IT'S ALL IN THE NAME

Because 'International Organization for Standardization' would have different acronyms in different languages (IOS in English, OIN in French for Organisation internationale de normalisation), the founders decided to give it the short form ISO. ISO is derived from the Greek 'isos', meaning equal. Whatever the country, whatever the language, they are always ISO.
