Raising awareness of mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.
Beechwood Trees & Landscapes Ltd are delighted to announce we have been accredited with the Thrive at Work Foundation Level Award.
Great progress has been made in recent years to break down the stigma and raise awareness of mental health and wellbeing issues in society.
But with 1 in 4 people in the UK experiencing a mental health problem each year it’s vital that the right level of support exists to help everyone who is affected.
Research shows that being active boosts wellbeing. But for people working in the sector, it can be difficult to talk openly about mental health and get support.
Thrive at Work is a workplace commitment with criteria and guidelines on creating a workplace that promotes employee health and wellbeing, focusing on key organisational enablers of health such as attendance management, policies and procedures in addition to health areas such as mental, musculoskeletal and physical health and promoting healthy lifestyles.
By achieving the Thrive at Work Foundation Level award, Beechwood Trees and Landscapes Ltd have demonstrated a commitment to improving the mental health and wellbeing of employees through ongoing support.
Adopting the Thrive at Work guidelines and planned approach will maximise the potential of employees, reduce sickness absence, improve retention, increase resilience and productivity by creating a healthier and happier workforce.
Our next step is to work towards the Bronze Level accreditation.
It is on this part of the journey where our action plan and the Thrive at Work Commitment will begin to have an impact.
We are lucky to have the Thrive Accreditation Team are also on hand to help, support and cheerlead us on to achieving the next level of Thrive.
