Unlocking Opportunities: Empowering Our Team with Forestry Training

We're thrilled to share some exciting news from Beechwood Trees and Landscapes Ltd! We've secured funding that will pave the way for our employees to continue their educational journey.

The government's recent allocation of £1 million in funding for forestry and arboriculture training courses until April 2025 is a game-changer for us and the entire industry.

This funding comes at a pivotal moment, as the demand for skilled professionals in forestry and arboriculture continues to grow. It's a direct response to the government's commitment to a £675 million tree program, emphasising the importance of green jobs and sustainable forestry practices.

So, what does this mean for our team at Beechwood? It means that we're investing in our employees' growth and development like never before. We're passionate about nurturing talent and ensuring that our workforce is equipped with the latest knowledge and skills. The funding covers a wide range of areas, including chainsaw operation, tree climbing, machinery operations, tree surveying qualifications, and much more.

But it's not just about upskilling our existing team; it's also about providing opportunities for those looking to change careers or enter the industry. We're excited to be a part of a movement that encourages diversity and inclusivity in forestry and arboriculture.

As Richard Stanford, the CEO of the Forestry Commission, aptly puts it, "England's forestry sector plays an essential part in creating resilient forests and woodlands, improving our natural environment, and helping us meet net zero carbon emissions." We couldn't agree more, and we're committed to doing our part.

Over £200,000 of the fund has been earmarked for courses that focus on the care, management, and safety of amenity trees, covering skills like aerial tree pruning and assisted felling. This is a testament to our dedication to maintaining the highest standards in our field.

We're grateful for the Forestry and Arboriculture Training Fund and the opportunities it presents. With over 150 short course training providers already registered and 1,100 training places funded for the next two years, the momentum is building.

At Beechwood Trees and Landscapes Ltd, we're ready to embrace this new chapter with enthusiasm and determination. Our team is gearing up for exciting learning experiences, and we can't wait to see the positive impact this funding will have on our industry and the environment. Stay tuned for the incredible growth and achievements that lie ahead! 🌳🌟
