The ink has only just dried on our previous hattrick of contract awards, so it was even more exciting to receive another one now added to the bag!

We have been successful in being awarded a place on the Sandwell MBC - Tree Maintenance Contract 2021 - 2025.

The award decision was made based on achievement of the highest score, in response to the criteria set out in the tender documentation published by the Council, so once again we came out on top, scoring 97.5% in areas of Quality and Price.

Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council, under the care of the Council’s Urban Forestry Unit deals with the inspection and maintenance of the Council's tree stock. These works are primarily on highways, parks and open spaces.

Responsive service delivery will be required to undertake identified reactive and planned maintenance and Arboricultural services relating to trees and shrubs which fall under the Council’s ownership or management, on an as and when required basis within the Borough of Sandwell.

Some words from Simon Rotheram, our Managing Director:

“We were delighted with the previous contract awards, but this additional one tops off the year for us!

Exciting times are ahead for 2022 and beyond, with a secured and guaranteed flow of work for our tree teams.

Along with significant investment in vehicles and machinery, it is no wonder we are now being recognised as one of the go to suppliers of tree surgery and Arboricultural works across the UK.

I am proud of what everyone at Beechwood has achieved over the last 12-18 months, in what have been some tough and unpredictable times.”
