How it started at Beechwood.

The company started out as ‘Beechwood Tree Services’ back in September 1998, by Simon Rotheram as a sole trader.

Since those humble roots were planted (for want of a better pun…) the company has grown into one of the country’s leading tree surgery, arboricultural, and site vegetation contractors.

We later incorporated as Beechwood Trees and Landscapes Ltd in November 2009 with Simon Rotheram as the Managing Director.

We also achieved the Arboricultural Association Approved Contractor registration in 2009 and have passed the regular audits since then, demonstrating our commitment to being the best in the industry,

Since then we have also achieved a number of quality, environmental and H&S accreditations such as ISO9001/14001/45001, CHAS, Constructionline and many others.

With this solid platform, the company has shown sustainable growth over the last 24 years and has secured contracts with many local authorities and Housing Associations, most of which we have retained during the re-tender process and still hold today.

The company is now recognised as one of the most forward thinking, innovative businesses within the Arboricultural industry.

Our contracts help us to maintain consistency in workload to keep our teams and resources busy and also keep a healthy cash flow.

These contracts are normally operated by 2-3 person crews consisting of experienced and qualified arborists/tree surgeons that complete operations safely and efficiently.

They are equipped with a modern fleet of vehicles and machinery, including new Isuzu chip lorries and Forst ST6P petrol wood chippers.

We have also invested in some of the latest mechanical Arboricultural equipment to improve our offering in the site clearance and larger scale tree removal projects.

This equipment also helps to improve efficiencies on our term contracts when assisting our crews.

The mechanical arb section is an area of the business where we would like to develop further and we are continuing to invest in a new and innovative range of specialist equipment.
